Unwinds a material made of steel called a “COIL” and feeds it into a die in a fixed amount.

Formed through multiple processes in order using a single Die.

It can process at very high speed and is suitable for mass production.

Plate Forging Dies

What is “Plate Forging”…

This technology uses materials and stamping machines commonly used in metal stamping.

Partially increase or decrease the thickness of the plate.

Significant cost reduction is possible by stamping rather than by forging or cutting.

Increased the thickness of a cup-shaped cylindrical wall as much as 2.5 times of the material thickness.

Transfer Dies

Dies for each process are arranged and set on a machine (machines).
Transfer of work between dies is automated.
There are two types:

Using Transfer Press Transfer Devices are attached to the stamping machine.
All process are set on one transfer machine. 
Using Tandem machines Each tandem machine has one die and aligned.
External transfer devices are attached to the machines.
Sometimes called “Robot Line” or “Line Pacer”.

Tandem Dies

Single die for each process and stamping machine.

Transports the work between the die manually.
While it has an advantage for flexibility in line layout and die design, work production costs are higher in areas where labor costs are high. (Sometimes called one-shot type)
